Don't know why, but I have always loved faces in jewellery. 
 
Many years ago when I was a student in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham I found a three carved coral pieces in a stone merchants. As a student I couldn't afford to buy much but I couldn't resist the three pieces of coral.
 
One was a dog's head, one a ladies' head with an elaborate hairstyle and a one a cherub's face.  I decided not to include them in individual jewellery pieces because they were unique and irreplaceable. Instead I chose to cast the cherub's face so that it could be shared.
 
These angelic cherub faces were cast from the original coral carving using the traditional "lost-wax" casting process here in the Jewellery Quarter U.K.
 
The silver cherub faces are presented here as stud earrings. Lovely as a gift, to mark a special event like a christening, a wedding, Valentine's Day, or just as a present to yourself.
 
The studs are designed for pierced ears with earring posts and butterfly back fastenings.
 
The cherub faces have been finished with applied oxidation to enhance their angelic features.
