A handmade sterling silver heart pendant with a bold, sculptural form from the Sweet Hearts Collection. The hearts were originally hand carved then produced using the traditional method of "lost-wax" casting. 
 
There are different sizes and shapes of hearts, this is heart no. 3.
 
The inspiration for all of the hearts originally came from a piece of Swedish art glass in my collection.
 
Here the heart is presented as a pendant. It has been designed for everyday wear. The pendant would be lovely as a timeless gift, to mark a special event like Valentine's Day, or Mother's Day or just as a present to yourself.
 
This heart has been modelled in a similar style to the heart earrings but it's a bit bigger and chunkier to make more of a statement.
 
The heart measures 12 mm long x approx 10 mm wide at it's widest point.
 
This heart pendant can be paired with other pieces from the Sweet Hearts collection.
 
The heart is attached to a 1.8 mm oval belcher chain with two jump rings so that the heart always sits at the front and the lobster catch fastening stays at the back.
 
The fastenings have been securely soldered together.
 
The necklace measures 412 mm from end to end including the lobster catch which enables the heart to nestle just below the collar bone.
 
The Sweet-Hearts no. 3  pendant would work well as part of a layered collection. It's small enough to fit in yet distictive enough to stand out. 
 
The silver heart has been finished with a trace of applied oxidation to enhance it's sculptural qualities.
 
This Sweet-Hearts no. 3 pendant has been designed and made in Birmingham, U.K. It has been tested and hallmarked as required, for Birmingham Assay Office.
