The doves jewellery was originally created for the annual Doves for Peace auction to raise money in aid of Warchild which helps children living in conflict.
 
Artists and crafts people from all over the world, working in a wide range of media,  contribute artworks to the auction.  The Tiny Dove pendant was my contribution in 2026. 
 
It was hand carved in wax and then cast here in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham U.K. using the ancient, traditional method of lost wax casting in recycled sterling silver.
 
The Tiny Dove is suspended on a 1.8 mm oval link belcher chain. The chain has been divided so that the Tiny Dove always stays at the front and the lobster catch fastening remains at the back and doesn't creep round.
 
The Tiny Dove measures beak to wing tip approx. 13 mm and head to bottom of tail approx. 12 mm. The chain measures approx. 425mm (16 and three quarters of an inch) including the lobster catch and jump-ring fastenings.  The length of chain allows the Tiny Dove to nestle comfortably around the collarbone.  
 
There are two options for finish - shiny or shiny with the addition of black oxide to accentuate the shape of the Tiny Dove.
 
The joining rings have been securely hand soldered for added security.  The Tiny Dove pendant would work well as part of a layered collection. It's small enough to blend, in yet distictive enough to stand out.
 
The Tiny Dove pendant has been tested and hallmarked as required by the Birmingham Assay Office.
